An Giang - The Provincial Border Guard Command and all affiliated units simultaneously launched a campaign to plant more than 3,500 trees of all kinds in many places.

On the morning of February 25, at Hon Chong port border guard station, the Party Committee of the Border Guard Command of An Giang province, in coordination with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Kien Luong commune, organized the launching ceremony of "Tet tree planting forever remembers Uncle Ho" Binh Ngo Spring 2026.

Implementing Directive No. 45 of the Prime Minister on organizing the "Tet tree planting" movement and strengthening forest protection and development; Responding to the program of planting one billion trees "For a green Vietnam"; Implementing the policy of the Party and State, directing the Border Guard Command, An Giang Provincial People's Committee, annually, the Provincial Border Guard Command and 100% of Border Guard units throughout the province simultaneously coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to organize "Tet tree planting, forever remembering Uncle Ho".

Tree planting activities take place within the premises of barracks, rural traffic routes, along border patrol roads, islands, on forest land in border areas.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Doan Dinh Tranh, Deputy Political Commissar of the Border Guard Command of An Giang province emphasized: According to forecasts by scientists, in the coming years, the impact of climate change, environmental pollution, natural disasters, epidemics and non-traditional security challenges for the whole world, including Vietnam, will always be potential hazards. Therefore, planting trees, reforestation, environmental care and protection are always the top and most effective solutions. Continue to implement Uncle Ho's teaching "For the benefit of ten years of planting trees, for the benefit of a hundred years of nurturing people.

After the launching ceremony, the Command Board assigned the Party committees and commanders of agencies and units in the Provincial Border Guard to continue to educate and thoroughly grasp the directives and plans of the superiors on organizing the "Tet tree planting" movement. Do a good job of propaganda, disseminating education, raising awareness for cadres, staff, soldiers and coordinating propaganda for all classes of people in the area about the role, great significance and human values of planting trees, afforestation, forest protection, and ecological environment protection, creating a widespread movement throughout the army and people, contributing to mitigating the impact of climate change and improving the quality of life.

Based on the actual situation, agencies and units choose planting areas, plant varieties, and the appropriate and scientific number of plants, bringing many practical benefits both in the short and long term. Regularly organize planting and caring for plants, in which, simultaneously coordinate with Party committees, authorities, and local mass organizations to launch planting activities on President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, each unit plants at least 500 plants of all kinds. Organize planting and caring for plants tightly, seriously, and with quality.

In order for the tree planting movement in agencies and units of the Provincial Border Guard force to continue to spread widely and bring practical efficiency, in the coming time, agencies and units will proactively coordinate closely with Party committees, authorities, departments, branches and local branches where they are stationed to synchronously implement solutions for planting, caring for, and protecting green trees. Forest fire prevention and fighting, strict management, and combating illegal logging and deforestation. Propagate and mobilize people in border areas to actively respond to activities of planting, caring for and protecting green trees, and protecting the local ecological environment.
