On the occasion of April 30 - May 1, Nghe An border guard forces maintained 24/24 duty, strengthened patrols, propaganda, and ensured security and border sovereignty.

During the April 30 - May 1 holidays, on the western border line of Nghe An, officers and soldiers of border posts entered the peak of combat readiness. The number of troops is maintained seriously 24/24, teams and posts are strengthened, proactively handling all situations, not to be passive or surprised, according to VNA.

In the Hua Na hydropower reservoir area, where travel completely depends on boats, Thong Thu Border Guard Station still maintains legal propaganda to each household. Officers and soldiers directly go down to each fish raft, mobilizing people to comply with regulations on waterway traffic safety.

The content of propaganda focuses on not using electric shock and explosives to exploit aquatic products; not arbitrarily carrying tourists when vehicles are not registered and licensed. At the same time, people are reminded to wear life jackets when moving, and to be fully equipped with life-saving equipment.

On this occasion, Thong Thu Border Guard Station handed over life jackets to 6 households and guided them on how to use correct techniques. After propaganda sessions, many households voluntarily committed not to violate, and the awareness of complying with regulations has been clearly improved.

At the same time, the unit strengthens patrols, inspections, and propaganda to people to strictly comply with border regulations, not to cross illegally, contributing to maintaining security and order in the area.

In Chau Khe border commune, the border guard force coordinates with the police and the commune military command to organize mobile patrols day and night. Each day, maintain 2-3 patrol teams at key routes, border areas and areas at risk of insecurity.

Night patrols on forest roads and remote villages require officers and soldiers to always stick to the area, monitor the situation, and combine propaganda to raise vigilance for people.

The unit also maintains a strict combat readiness regime, reviewing and supplementing situations handling plans. Thanks to that, the security and order situation in the area is basically stable, and territorial sovereignty is maintained.

Nghe An has more than 460km of land border, bordering 3 provinces: Xieng Khouang, Bolykhămxay, Hua Phan (Laos), which are key areas for national defense, security and foreign affairs.

During the holidays, amidst the bustling atmosphere everywhere, border guard units still maintain 24/24 duty, quietly sticking to the front lines, contributing to maintaining peace so that people can enjoy safe holidays.
