Border guards in Quang Tri support people, coordinate to patrol the Vietnam - Laos border

Quang Tri - La Lay Border Guard Station organized many meaningful activities, supporting people after the storm and coordinating to patrol the Vietnam - Laos border.

On August 20, La Lay International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Provincial Border Guard) organized many practical activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2.

In Pire 2 village, La Lay commune, officers, soldiers and local people cleaned the village road, presented and supported the hanging of 50 national flags. The unit also approved the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of La Lay commune to donate 10 million VND to support families affected by storm No. 3.

In addition, the La Lay International Border Guard Station coordinated with the 514th Border Guard Company, the Military Command of Sa-Lao province (Laos) to organize a bilateral patrol of the border from national border mark 642 to 643.

Patrol results show that the border system and national border markers are in their original state, unchanged. The two sides signed a minutes and agreed on a periodic patrol plan to maintain security and order, and build a peaceful and friendly border.
