The unit has formed 266 residential areas along the western border of Gia Lai and Quang Ngai provinces, bordering Laos and Cambodia.
Along with socio-economic development, the 15th Army Corps always fulfills the task of building and strengthening national defense and maintaining border security.
Major General Hoang Van Sy - Commander of the 15th Corps - has just recommended that the leaders of the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee pay attention to removing difficulties and obstacles in the management and use of national defense land and production land.
At the same time, organize border residential planning, convert crop structure, invest in medical and educational infrastructure; hand over power works, roads, schools, stations; add parking lots to serve Quy Nhon Guest House...
The leaders of Gia Lai province affirmed that the government will continue to create favorable conditions for the Corps to effectively implement economic - defense projects, contributing to the socio-economic development of the border area.
The province also hopes that the 15th Army Corps will continue to support the formation of economic zones, create more jobs, improve income and life for workers and laborers; at the same time, it will arrange capital to invest in medical and educational works in border communes.
