In Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province, the People's Public Security Communications Department has presented 100 million VND to support the family of Ms. Hoang Thi Viet (born in 1957, in Khe Gaai village) and Mr. Nong Van Nam (born in 1966, in Khe Ma village).


Ms. Hoang Thi Viet is a Cao Lan ethnic group, currently living alone in a stilt house built 40 years ago. The house is degraded, the foundations of the pillars are eroded, and there is a risk of collapse at any time.
Along with Ms. Viet, Mr. Nong Van Nam's family house was built in 1980 and is still in disrepair. These two families are part of a temporary and dilapidated house in Tan Huong commune.
Having received financial support from the forces to build a house, both families are grateful and grateful. This is a great source of motivation for the family to overcome difficulties in life.

At the working session with Yen Bai Provincial Police, Major General Tran Thanh Phong - Deputy Director of the People's Public Security Communications Department - said that, promoting the spirit of "mutual love", "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves", in recent times, the Department has implemented many social security activities towards the community, especially for those in difficult circumstances in remote areas, mountainous areas, and islands.
Up to now, the People's Public Security Communications Department has supported 3 charity houses and supported 10 families in difficult circumstances in Thanh Hoa, Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces with a total value of 250 million VND.

Colonel Le Viet Thang - Director of Yen Bai Provincial Police informed that, joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, the Provincial Police called on officers and soldiers to contribute 2 days' salary with an amount of 3.6 billion VND.
In addition, organizations and individuals outside the force are encouraged to support the cost of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses with an amount of more than 200 million VND. Commune-level police in the area actively support working days, help households build and repair houses and support necessities.
In 2025, Yen Bai issued a Project to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses with the goal of supporting all 2,208 houses with an implementation cost of about 120.69 billion VND.
By May 23, the whole province had 3/9 district-level units including Yen Bai city, Tram Tau district and Nghia Lo town completing the plan to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Yen Bai completed 2,015 houses, reaching 91.3%, disbursing 63% of the total project cost. The province strives to complete 100% of houses before June 30 this year.
