Border Guard Station officers in Thanh Hoa injured while rescuing people in storms

Thanh Hoa - While supporting the evacuation of people due to the storm, the officer of Hien Kiet Border Guard Station was seriously injured by landslides and has now been taken to the hospital for treatment.

Accordingly, at around 11:45 a.m. on August 26, while moving assets to the family of Mr. Vi Van Su (born in 1983, Ho village, Hien Kiet commune, Thanh Hoa province), a large block of rock and soil suddenly collapsed, crushing Lieutenant Colonel Lo Van Hien - Captain of the Armed Forces Team and Lieutenant Le Ngoc Vu - Hien Kiet Commune Police.

After nearly 30 minutes of digging, the on-site force brought the two officers out and gave timely first aid.

As a result, comrade Vu suffered soft tissue injuries and stable health; comrade Hien suffered injuries to the chest, thigh, left footrest and many scratches. Immediately afterwards, Lieutenant Colonel Hien was transferred to Ngoc Lac Regional General Hospital for treatment.

On the same afternoon, Colonel Hoang Van Hung - Political Commissar of Thanh Hoa Border Guard directly visited, encouraged, and commended Comrade Hien's spirit of serving the people, and at the same time directed the unit to coordinate with doctors and nurses to provide the best care and treatment so that he can recover his health soon.
