Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee gives gifts to the elderly

On the occasion of International Day of Older Persons, October 1, Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau visited and presented gifts to the elderly.

On September 25, news from the People's Committee of Hai Duong province said that at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument in Hiep Luc commune, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau and the working delegation offered flowers and incense to express their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh.

Next, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau visited the families of elderly people who are beneficiaries of social welfare in Ninh Giang district, including Ms. Dao Thi Gai (born in 1922, residing in village 3, Tan Huong commune); Ms. Luu Thi Ngan (born in 1923, residing in Da Nghi village, Nghia An commune) and Mr. Nguyen Van Cu (born in 1922, residing in Do Xa village, Ung Hoe commune), all residing in Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong province.

Here, the Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee kindly asked about the health and daily life of the elderly, wished them to always live well, be a spiritual support for their children and grandchildren in the family and the community where they live, and continue to promote the role of "old age shining example" for their children and grandchildren to follow.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau affirmed that caring for the elderly is a duty and responsibility, demonstrating the good tradition of the family and the whole society.

“Every year, the province always pays attention to visiting and encouraging the elderly to create the best conditions for the elderly to live happily and healthily. Local authorities need to continue to pay more attention to taking better care of the material and spiritual life of the elderly,” said Mr. Chau.
