On February 27, Regiment 726 (Corps 16) in coordination with Hanoi Urban Environment Sanitation Joint Stock Company organized a workshop on organic fertilizer production and use and crop care processes for 400 workers and contract households belonging to 5 production teams in the project area in Quang Truc and Tuy Duc communes.
The workshop focused on clarifying the role of organic fertilizers in soil improvement, reducing input costs and improving crop yields.
According to experts, the transition from farming methods heavily dependent on chemical fertilizers to environmentally friendly agricultural models is an inevitable trend, contributing to ensuring the stable and long-term development of agricultural production.
Not only imparting theoretical knowledge, the program also spends a lot of time exchanging practical knowledge.
Workers frankly pointed out difficulties in the process of using organic fertilizer such as composting techniques, fertilizer dosage, and efficiency on each type of crop.
The opinions have been answered specifically and practically by experts, helping participants have more scientific basis for effective application at the unit.
Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Trinh Xuan Luu - Chairman of the Board of Directors cum General Director of Hanoi Urban Environment Sanitation Joint Stock Company - emphasized that organic fertilizer is an input factor of particular importance in organic agricultural production.
According to him, the use of organic fertilizers not only contributes to protecting the health of producers and limiting heavy metal residues in the soil, but also creates safe agricultural products and enhances economic value.
At the same time, organic fertilizers help maintain and gradually restore soil fertility - a fundamental factor ensuring the sustainable development of agricultural production.
Through the workshop, the awareness of officials and employees about the role and benefits of organic fertilizers continues to be raised, while creating a forum for exchanging experiences and removing obstacles in production practice.
This activity is expected to contribute to land improvement, reduce investment costs, improve productivity and quality of agricultural products, and promote the construction of environmentally friendly production models in the project area.
