Da Nang organizes many activities to support women in border areas, from giving gifts to guiding livestream sales, contributing to creating livelihoods and reducing poverty.

From April 13 to 15, the Da Nang City Women's Union organized the "Accompanying Border Women" Program in La De, La Eee, Dac Pring and Thanh My border communes... with a series of practical and synchronous activities, contributing to building new rural areas, improving the lives of women in border areas and promoting sustainable poverty reduction.

The program is organized to celebrate the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the 14th National Congress of Women (term 2026-2031), and at the same time concretize the contents of the "Accompanying Border Women" Program for the 2026-2030 period in an effective direction, suitable to local practical conditions.

The highlight of the program is the harmonious combination of social security support with investment in projects and models serving long-term people's livelihoods.

In which, 90 gifts (500,000 VND/gift) were given to members and women in difficult circumstances in 3 communes; 30 gifts (300,000 VND/gift) and 400 notebooks were given to students of La Eee Ethnic Minority Boarding Primary School, thereby adding motivation to go to school for them.

Many practical projects have been implemented such as the "Green - clean - beautiful - bright border area" road in La De commune (worth 80 million VND); the "National Flag Road" model with a total of 210 flags in 3 communes; a clean water filtration system worth 50 million VND donated to Dak Pring Commune Kindergarten; supporting the construction of 1 "House of Compassion" (50 million VND) for poor women members in La Eee commune.

Not stopping at material support, the program "Accompanying Border Women" this time focuses on impacting the "root" of poverty reduction through changing awareness and production thinking.

A new point of the program is the pilot model "Highland Digital Market" in Dak Oc village (La Dee commune). Through the construction of a QR code named "Highland Digital Market", local products are digitized information about images, selling prices, contact phone numbers, and are also promoted on the Association's social networking platforms.

In addition, display activities, connecting consumption of highland products, and the livestream session "Big Forest Specialties" have contributed to bringing products such as honey, medicinal herbs, brocade... closer to consumers, opening up opportunities for digital economic development for women in border areas.

The program also piloted 2 "Safe Family" models in Dak Re village (La De commune) and Pa Ooi village (La Eee commune), each model with 30 members, with survey activities, launching, signing commitments and communication to raise awareness about building a safe living environment for women and children.
