This is the first year that Do Son ward has organized the Hung Kings National Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony on a large scale, prepared methodically and solemnly, with profound political - cultural - spiritual significance. The Great Ceremony is not only a religious activity but also an occasion to honor the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", arousing national pride and solidarity in the community.
The Great Ceremony was directly organized and chaired by Venerable Thich Quang Tung - Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of the Hai Phong City Buddhist Sangha, Abbot of Tuong Long Pagoda, in coordination with local Party committees and authorities to ensure solemnity and compliance with regulations.
The program is scheduled to take place on April 26 (ie March 10th) at the Temple of Vietnamese National Heroes - National Ancestor Vong Tu, Tuong Long Tower Pagoda.
At the Temple of Vietnamese National Heroes - Quoc To Vong Tu, the worship space is solemnly decorated, including worshiping Quoc To Lac Long Quan and Quoc Mau Au Co - legendary figures associated with the formation of the Vietnamese nation. The legend of Lac Long Quan and Au Co giving birth to a bundle of hundred eggs, hatching into hundreds of children has become a sacred symbol of the nation's origin.
The organization of the Hung Kings National Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony in Do Son not only contributes to preserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values, but is also an opportunity to deeply educate the morality of "When drinking water, remember the source", expressing gratitude for the merits of building the country of Hung Kings and their predecessors, but also affirms Do Son's role in preserving and promoting cultural and spiritual values, contributing to building an increasingly civilized and culturally rich local image.
