Records of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters show that as of the end of August 8, the whole province had 459,309 people examined and had free health check-ups, reaching 67.73% of the population.
The province sets a target of reaching 90% by September 30 and completing 100% before October 31.
According to Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, in 45 communes and wards, there are 12 units with examination rates of 80% or more; 9 units reach 71-79%; 11 units reach 61-69.9%.
However, there are still 3 localities with a rate below 50%, including Sin Chai 49.5%, Dien Bien Phu 48.2% and Thanh Nua 37.7%.
To accelerate, the health sector is required to organize mobile examination teams to support areas with low rates; coordinate with local authorities to develop appropriate examination schedules, prioritizing outside office hours, holidays or times that do not affect production seasons.
Communes and wards must fully review people in the area, paying attention to temporary residents, freelancers, people working far away, the elderly, people with disabilities and groups with difficult access to health services.
Statistics must avoid duplication, ensuring the principle of "one citizen, one identification code, one health record and one main reporting point".
Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee emphasized that examination must not run after quantity, not follow trends, but must ensure quality, detect risks and manage and monitor health after examination.
Along with that, Dien Bien requests to accelerate the updating and connection of Electronic Health Records on VNeID, gradually forming complete health data for people.
Agencies, units and local authorities are responsible for the progress, results and quality of health check-ups within the assigned scope.
