According to statistics from the Department of Health, since the deployment of free health check-ups for the whole population, the whole province has provided free medical examination, treatment, and health consultation for more than 170,000 people.
To bring services closer to people, especially people in mountainous areas, one of the key solutions is to rotate fixed-term health officials to provide professional support at commune and ward health stations.
From the beginning of the year to now, the entire sector has rotated 890 turns of officials to grassroots levels, of which 146 turns of officials belong to provincial-level hospitals and specialized centers, and 744 turns of officials belong to health centers.
According to Mr. Pham Giang Nam - Director of Dien Bien Department of Health, many techniques that were previously only implemented at a higher level have now been transferred, helping the Commune Health Station gradually better meet the needs of people for medical examination and treatment.
Assessing the implementation results, Mr. Nguyen Van Doat - Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee said that through monitoring and inspection, the number of people participating in health check-ups in some localities has not yet ensured the progress of implementing the set goals.
To ensure the completion of the goal by the end of 2026, each person in the province will have a periodic health check-up or screening at least once, the provincial leader emphasized, heads of agencies, units, and localities are responsible to the Provincial People's Committee for the implementation results.
In which, striving to date July 15, communes and wards must achieve at least 50% of people in the area to have periodic health check-ups or free screening.
Officials assigned to be in charge of the area must coordinate with village heads, hamlet heads, residential group leaders and mass organizations to review and make a list of people who have not been examined, thereby proactively informing and guiding people to participate according to the plan.
