On April 17, the People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tan Hung ward organized a conference to exchange and display culinary booths of ethnic minorities to celebrate Vietnamese Ethnic Culture Day (April 19, 2026).
Attending the Conference were Mr. Tang Phuoc Loc - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Ho Chi Minh City, Mr. Hoang Minh Tuan Anh - Secretary of the Party Committee of Tan Hung Ward and a large number of people in the ward.

The highlight of the program is the culinary booths, where traditional dishes from many regions are introduced. Through this, people have the opportunity to learn about the profound meanings behind each unique flavor of each ethnic group, each region when integrating into a common community.
This year's program brings the diversity of cultures from the Central Highlands, the North to the Mekong Delta, expressed through specialty dishes of ethnic groups Tay, Thai, E-de, Khmer, Hoa, Cham...

Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Thanh - Vice Chairwoman of Tan Hung Ward People's Committee said that the ward currently has 75 neighborhoods with a total population of more than 156,000 people, of which ethnic minorities are 2,637 people, accounting for about 1.17% of the population, mainly Hoa, Khmer, Cham ethnic groups and some other ethnic groups living interspersed in the neighborhoods.
The lives of ethnic minorities are increasingly improved; to date, there are no more poor households in the ward, currently only 11 near-poor households, showing the clear effectiveness of social security policies and the efforts of people to rise up," Ms. Thanh said.

In addition, in the ward, there are 54 religious and belief establishments with thousands of dignitaries, officials and believers operating stably, well complying with the provisions of law; making an important contribution to maintaining political security stability, social order and safety and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
In the first quarter of 2026, the ward organized many practical activities such as: giving Tet gifts to 11 near-poor households and 5 reputable people with a total budget of 23.5 million VND; organizing meetings, visits and giving gifts to 46 religious dignitaries and officials with a budget of 46 million VND; at the same time, promoting propaganda and dissemination of laws, contributing to raising awareness and compliance in the people.

The above results have contributed to improving the material and spiritual life of the people; consolidating the people's belief in the leadership of the Party and the management and administration of the local government.
