On June 16, in Ca Mau, the Party Committee - Squadron 42 held a conference to review the work of the Coast Guard in the first 6 months of 2025; deploy directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
In the past time, Squadron 42 has been proactive and sharp in advising and promptly proposing to the Party Committee and the head of the Coast Guard Region 4 Command plans for combat, mobilizing mobile vehicles at sea, ensuring 24/7 combat duty, closely monitoring the situation in the area.
Notably, the unit has directly monitored, directed, and deployed 51 ships and boats to perform the following tasks: Patrol, control, and prevention of smuggling and trade fraud, interdisciplinary patrols, and duty in areas under assigned waters, surveyed battlefields, and escorted violating ships... with a total travel distance of more than 24,900 nautical miles to ensure safety.
The squadron coordinated to arrest 2 drug cases for illegal drug trafficking, organization of use, and possession; Chaired the arrest of 1 case/fishing boat transporting more than 14,300 liters of DO oil and 1 case/fishing boat transporting 30 tons of sugar without legal invoices and documents.
The Navy Party Committee has focused on leading and directing the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of Party and political activities; Directing and guiding Party cells to organize Party Congresses for the 2025-2027 term, the Navy Party Committees under the Navy to successfully organize the Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term; doing a good job of preparing and successfully organizing the 3rd Navy Party Congress...
The squadron organized the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", disseminated and educated about the law to 760 fishermen, 93 fishing vessels, presented 735 national flags, 735 leaflets, and 150 gifts worth more than 150 million VND in communes of Ca Mau province.
Speaking at the conference, Major General Tran Van Luong - Commander of the Region acknowledged, commended and congratulated the achievements that Squadron 42 has achieved in the first 6 months of 2025.
In the coming time, he requested the Party Committee and Command of the Squadron to continue to thoroughly grasp and seriously and effectively implement resolutions, directives and regulations of superiors; closely coordinate with joint forces to strengthen measures to grasp the situation, promptly synthesize, evaluate, advise and propose and flexibly and effectively handle situations that arise, not to be passive or surprised.

Authorized by the Chief of the Vietnam Coast Guard, Major General Tran Van Luong presented certificates of merit to Squadron 42 and Lieutenant Colonel Le Duc Tuan - Squadron Commander for their outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Army joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" for the period 2021-2030.
On this occasion, Lieutenant Colonel Trinh Minh Hien - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar, Chairman of the Emulation and Reward Council of the Squadron awarded 3 collectives and 4 individuals with good achievements in implementing the peak emulation campaign "Speedy - determined to win".
On the same day, Major General Tran Van Luong and the Region's working delegation conducted a democratic dialogue with officers and soldiers in the Nam Can and Ca Mau areas; grasped the thoughts, aspirations and answered problems, recommendations, orientations for awareness, ideology, and action for officers and soldiers in the entire unit.
