On September 14, the People's Committee of Ia Mo commune, Gia Lai province, announced that benefactors had just presented 40 bicycles, 7 televisions and many scholarships to students of Nguyen Van Troi Primary and Secondary School.
The meaningful gifts were given directly to poor students in difficult circumstances in the area. Smart TVs help schools teach more vividly, making teaching and illustrating exercises in class more convenient.
Ia Mo is a border commune, with 85% of the population being ethnic minorities, the poverty rate accounts for 6.81%. The gifts at the beginning of the new school year not only have material value but also have great spiritual significance, adding motivation to both teachers and students.
Kpa Mel (grade 9A student, Nguyen Van Troi Primary and Secondary School) - shared: "My grandchild's house is many kilometers away from the school. With a new bicycle, I feel very happy and will use it as a means of transportation to school faster than before".

According to statistics, 7 border communes of the province have 9,419 students, of which nearly 55% are ethnic minorities. Currently, there are 21 schools in the area but most of them do not have boarding or semi-boarding functions, making it difficult for students in remote areas to go to class.
Gia Lai province is accelerating the implementation of Conclusion No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on building boarding and semi-boarding schools for students in border areas.
It is expected that in the fourth quarter of 2025, schools will start construction simultaneously and be completed as soon as possible, contributing to improving the quality of education for students in mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas.
The projects not only meet the needs of classrooms but also have dining areas and entertainment areas; ensure safety, sustainability, and suitability to natural disaster prevention conditions such as landslides and flash floods.
Schools built must meet standards, organize teaching and learning sessions 2 sessions/day and ensure students get free lunch at school.
