Opening of Nanh Pagoda 2026, receiving the title of national heritage

Hanoi - Phu Dong Commune People's Committee organizes a ceremony to announce the decision to include Nanh Pagoda Festival in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage - opening Nanh Pagoda festival.

On the evening of March 21, at Nanh Pagoda, Phu Dong commune (Hanoi), the 2026 Nanh Pagoda festival opened. The ceremony was attended by representatives of leaders of central ministries and branches of Hanoi City, along with a large number of people and tourists.

Nanh Pagoda Festival is a folk cultural and religious activity with a long history, closely associated with the spiritual life of the local community.

Being listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List shows recognition of typical values of history, culture, art and beliefs that have been preserved and passed down through many generations.

The festival space was organized solemnly and safely, attracting a large number of delegates, people and tourists to attend. The opening part of the opening program took place with many unique art performances, creating a lively and unique atmosphere.

The highlight of the program is an impressive epic performance co-produced by the Hanoi Cheo Theater and Thang Long Theater, contributing to recreating the unique traditional cultural values of the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Dao Duc Minh, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Phu Dong Commune People's Committee emphasized that this is an honor and pride of the Party Committee, government and local people.

He also affirmed his responsibility in continuing to preserve and promote heritage values associated with sustainable cultural tourism development in the coming time.

At the ceremony, local leaders performed the drumming ceremony to open the 2026 Nanh Pagoda festival. Representatives of Phu Dong commune also received the certificate recognizing the Nanh Pagoda festival as a national intangible cultural heritage.

Within the framework of the festival, many cultural, sports and exhibition activities are organized such as ornamental creature exhibitions, antique exhibitions, spring poetry exchanges... These activities create highlights, contributing to enriching the spiritual life of the people, and at the same time promoting the image of Phu Dong homeland and people to tourists.

The announcement of heritage and the organization of festivals not only contribute to preserving traditional cultural values, but also raise community awareness in heritage conservation. At the same time, this activity meets the increasing cultural enjoyment needs of the people in the current period.
