Mr. Duong Duc Khanh - Secretary of Yen Khanh District Party Committee said that the project was inaugurated to celebrate the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth and the 66th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to Ninh Binh.
In 5 visits to Ninh Binh, on March 15,59 he visited the people of Khanh Cu commune (Yen Khanh district) and participated in the drought in the Chinh field. When he visited, he said: "Try to make irrigation to get water to save tens of thousands of rice samples and plant all the remaining areas".
According to the wishes of the people, the cadres of Khanh Cu commune, hoping that the place he visited would have a trace, marking a special event of the beloved leader, Yen Khanh district decided to choose the Chin field where he arrived 66 years ago to place a plaque commemorating this important event.
At the ceremony, the leaders of Ninh Binh and Yen Khanh districts pulled the inauguration band of the project, opened the plate of the content: This place on March 15, 1959, President Ho Chi Minh visited and encouraged the people, officials and soldiers of Ninh Binh province and participated in the drought. On the sign also recorded the poem "Following Uncle Ho" by poet To Huu.
After the inauguration of the sign, Ninh Binh provincial leaders planted a banyan tree as a souvenir, visited the exhibition displaying agricultural production tools and agricultural tools, recreating the ancient space and visiting the rice fields in Chinh field.
