Dong Thap - The model of "Self-managed residential area" to protect the environment aims to mobilize community strength to make the environment green - clean - beautiful.

On October 10, at Phu Trung Hamlet Residential Area, Phu Thuan B Commune, the Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Ngu District (Dong Thap Province) coordinated with local authorities to organize the launching ceremony of the "Self-managed Residential Area" model for environmental protection. This is the first model in the border district of Dong Thap to build a sustainable residential area.

Accordingly, 268 households belonging to 8 self-governing People's Groups committed to jointly carry out activities to maintain environmental sanitation, take care of the landscape and protect natural resources along a 1km long road.

At the launching ceremony, the self-governing People's Groups carried out many practical activities such as environmental sanitation, garbage collection, and planting flowers and trees along residential roads. These are the first steps in building a green - clean - beautiful residential area, creating a healthy living environment for people. This is considered a typical model to be replicated in other residential areas in Hong Ngu district, contributing to the sustainable development of the locality.
