Responding to the emulation movement to "eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the 2024 - 2025 period launched by the Prime Minister, Lam Dong province was approved to support 6,004 houses.
Determining this as a key task, the entire political system of Lam Dong province has taken action early. Currently, localities have assigned officials in charge of each residential area, reviewed the subjects, and mobilized resources to implement construction.
With the efforts of the entire political system and the cooperation of society, the whole province has completed 5,265 houses, reaching 87.69% of the plan.
In area 1 (old Lam Dong province), 100% of the plan has been completed; area 2 (old Binh Thuan province) has completed 97.39% of the plan; area 3 (old Dak Nong province) has completed 72% of the plan.
According to the Lam Dong Department of Agriculture and Environment, the province aims to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses before August 30. However, with nearly 1,000 remaining houses, construction is facing many difficulties.
Currently, the new communes are starting to operate, the workload is large, while there is not much time to reach the finish line. Along with that, many newly assigned officers to this task are still confused and have problems in implementation.
According to the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Lam Dong province, some beneficiaries have not yet ensured conditions for residential land according to regulations. Therefore, the authorities and functional agencies must review and adjust during the implementation process.
From these difficulties, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee - Mr. Ho Van Muoi requested departments, branches and localities to be determined and flexible with the spirit of "only discussing work, not retreating".
"What is really difficult must be reported immediately to the province for settlement. The entire political system strives and is determined to complete before August 30. This is an order of the Prime Minister - Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial Peoples Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized.
