On July 14, the Steering Committee for the "DT-26" exercise in Lam Dong province coordinated with Ward 1 Bao Loc to organize a combat exercise in the defense area in 2026, according to the Lam Dong Provincial e-Portal.
This is a pilot exercise to evaluate, draw experience and unify the content, order, and methods of organization before being deployed simultaneously in communes, wards and special zones in the province.
Attending were Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for the "DT-26" exercise; Mr. Ho Van Muoi - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Ms. Pham Thi Phuc - Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF); Colonel Tran Huu Nhan - Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 7 and leaders of departments, branches, and localities.


According to Mr. Ngo Van Ninh - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Ward 1 Bao Loc, the locality has basically completed the preparation work, from the operating area of the simulated combat base to the system of trenches, fortifications and training grounds. The actual military content, communication assurance plans, grid electricity and backup power sources have also been completed, ready for the exercise.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized that the exercise is an opportunity to comprehensively inspect the leadership and direction of Party committees and authorities in performing military and defense tasks; and at the same time improve the operational capacity and combat readiness of grassroots armed forces. This is also a model for localities in the province to learn and unify.
The Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels and sectors to prepare carefully, build practical drill content, strengthen simulated situations to improve the capacity to advise, coordinate and handle situations. Ward 1 Bao Loc needs to operate in accordance with the mechanism, closely coordinate between military forces, police and sectors and organizations, and at the same time ensure absolute safety of people, weapons, equipment, vehicles and maintain security and order throughout the drill process.
After the exercise, localities will organize to draw experience, complete the system of documents, plans and apply them in accordance with practical conditions to improve the quality of defense area construction, meeting the requirements of the task of protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
