On August 20, Economic - Defense Group 337 confirmed that from August 14 to August 19, during the expansion of the search area for martyrs' remains in Xa Re village, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Economic - Defense Group 337 recovered 3 martyrs' remains.
The remains were found in the coffin, along with many relics such as plaster, chard, shoe hanger, information ropes, parachute ropes, etc.
Currently, these remains are being preserved and the incense is smoking at the Khe Sanh Commune spiritual and Cultural Area. Further expansion of the search in the surrounding area is underway.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hong Phu, Captain of the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team, said that the collection work was carried out carefully and meticulously, ensuring that no remains or relics were left.
Previously, on August 13, the above unit discovered the remains of a martyr when organizing a search in Xa Re village. In phase 1 (19.5 - 6.), in Xa Re village, 8 martyrs' remains were also discovered and collected.
