On August 14, Economic - Defense Group 337 confirmed that on August 13, while expanding the search area for martyrs' remains in Xa Re village, the Gathering Team recovered 1 martyr's remains.
The martyrs' remains were wrapped in a martyr's bag, inside were bones and 4 teeth. The relics include plaster, chard, and shoe insert. The location of the discovery was about 15m from the previous search point.
From May 19 to June 6, 2025, also in Xa Re village, the Martyrs' Remains Collection Team of Group 337 searched for and collected 8 martyrs' remains. Currently, the unit continues to expand the search area around the newly discovered location.
To burn incense to commemorate and inspect and encourage the gathering force, Colonel Truong Khac Duan - Deputy Political Commissar of the 337th Economic - Defense Group praised the results of the past time, and at the same time requested that the search and excavation process must comply with regulations, be careful and meticulous at all stages, and not leave any remains or relics.
Colonel Truong Khac Duan also emphasized the need to build high determination, overcome difficulties in weather and terrain, increase propaganda and do a good job of mass mobilization in the process of performing tasks.
Currently, the remains of martyrs are preserved, with incense and incense at the spiritual and cultural area of Khe Sanh commune, Quang Tri province.
