On June 7, the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province said it was implementing a plan to rearrange and reorganize medical facilities according to the 2-level local government organization model.
According to the plan, all district-level health centers will be converted into regional health centers, under the management of the Department of Health. The existing regional polyclinics, commune, ward and town health stations will continue to be maintained and transferred to the management area health center.

Human resources of new communal and ward health stations will be arranged on the basis of receiving officials from regional general clinics, old health stations and mobilizing, adding personnel from provincial health facilities, from the previous district health center. The goal is to ensure that each medical station in new communes and wards has at least 2 doctors, thereby strengthening professional capacity and ability to meet the needs of medical examination and treatment at the grassroots level.

The Department of Health will direct its affiliated organizations and units to support commune-level health stations in terms of human resources, professional and technical direction. At the same time, guide the provision of adequate medicine, equipment, medical supplies and maintain health insurance examination and treatment contracts at the unit to ensure effective operation, without interruption in providing health protection and care services to people in the new communes and wards.
