On March 31, 2025, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha signed Decisions No. 698/QD-TTg and No. 696/QD-TTg on recognizing Xuan Truong district and Truc Ninh district (Nam Dinh province) as meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2024.
The Prime Minister assigned the People's Committee of Nam Dinh province to be responsible for announcing and rewarding according to regulations; directing the People's Committees of Xuan Truong district and Truc Ninh district to continue to maintain and improve the quality of criteria, focusing on economic and environmental criteria to ensure sustainability in new rural construction.
Previously, Nam Dinh province had Giao Thuy district as the first district in the province to be in the top 10 districts nationwide that were recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the advanced new rural standards in 2023.
