According to Lao Dong, in recent days, many ship owners at Tho Quang fishing port (Son Tra ward) have been taking the opportunity to re-check the machinery, preparing for the upcoming sea trip. However, many fishermen have expressed concern because they have not received fuel support.
Mr. Nguyen Van Binh (name of the character requested for change, owner of a boat at Tho Quang fishing port) explained that fishing boats that both fish offshore and protect the sovereignty of the islands will receive fuel support.
According to Mr. Binh, many ships that registered to receive support early have received it, while those that registered late are still waiting. This year's weather is erratic, fishing vessels fishing far from shore cost a huge amount of money, so many fishermen also hope for support to reduce the financial burden.

Similarly, Mr. Le Van Xuan (a seafood fisherman in the sea area of Hoang Sa, Da Nang) said that the cost of a sea trip is currently very large such as fuel, labor, necessities, machinery maintenance and other arising expenses. The delay in paying fuel support money has caused difficulties for many fishermen.
Many fishermen who are anchored at Tho Quang fishing port also hope that after the administrative merger between Da Nang and Quang Nam, the regulations will soon be unified.
Because according to many fishermen, after the merger, differences in the process, conditions for confirming the sea trip and the form of inspection caused many applications for fuel support to be extended, affecting the timely receipt of money.

According to Decision 48/2010/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, organizations, individuals and households exploiting and exploiting services in offshore waters will be supported by the State for fuel costs for ships at a maximum of 4 sea trips/year, each sea trip will be supported with no more than 100 million VND.
Previously, at the meeting with voters before the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, the People's Committee of Da Nang City answered the concerns of fishermen, the city also acknowledged and will organize specific working sessions between the Department of Agriculture and Environment to jointly assess and review the issues that fishermen are concerned about.
From the above reality, the People's Committee of Da Nang City believes that the early payment of fuel support and policy unification between the two localities not only helps fishermen feel secure to go offshore and stick to the sea, but also creates momentum for sustainable fisheries development, contributing to maintaining the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland at sea.
