On April 12, information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police said that Dinh Tan Commune Police had just received a long-tailed macaque from a resident and handed it over to functional agencies for handling according to regulations.
According to Dinh Tan Commune Police, previously, Mr. Tran Van Dong (born 1973, residing in Yen Thon village, Dinh Tan commune) voluntarily handed over a male long-tailed monkey, gray in color, weighing about 8 kg. This monkey came down from the mountain, was arrested by Mr. Dong and then brought to the commune police headquarters to hand over.
Immediately after receiving it, functional forces coordinated to hand over the monkey to Xuan Lien National Park for conservation and care according to regulations.
