Pa Co commune (Phu Tho) promotes clean agriculture associated with community tourism, helping to increase income and create jobs but still facing difficulties in output, capital and infrastructure.

According to VNA, in recent years, Pa Co commune (Phu Tho) has gradually affirmed its role as a clean and safe agricultural production area through collective economic development and linkages between people, cooperatives and the government. From small-scale models, clean agriculture not only increases income but also creates a foundation for sustainable community tourism development.

With the advantage of cool climate and soil suitable for many types of crops, the locality has oriented people to switch from traditional farming to safe production associated with market demand.

Cha Day Tourism and Agricultural Development Cooperative is one of the typical models, combining community tourism development with clean agricultural production. Key products such as chayote, passion fruit, and vegetables are grown according to safe procedures, serving tourists and supplying to the market.

Ms. Sung Y Do, a member of the cooperative, said that production linkage helps improve economic efficiency. Her family earns from 150 to 200 million VND per year thanks to combining agriculture and tourism.

Currently, Pa Co commune has 5 agricultural cooperatives operating in the fields of cultivation and forestry. Although the scale is still small, the cooperatives have played a role in organizing production, creating jobs, and gradually improving the quality of agricultural products through the application of science and technology and product diversification.

People's awareness of clean production has also changed positively. Through propaganda and training, many households have proactively converted crop structures, applied technical processes, and limited chemicals, contributing to improving product value.

However, the development process still faces many difficulties. Small-scale production, limited management capacity, lack of capital and unsynchronized infrastructure are major barriers.

Mr. Sung A Thanh, a resident of Cha Day hamlet, said that the output of agricultural products is not stable, dependent on traders, so prices are unstable. The application of science and technology is still slow, and some households have not participated in linkages, making the competitiveness not high.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Pa Co commune Sung A Chenh assessed that the locality has a lot of potential but still faces difficulties in transportation, farming level and seed sources. He proposed that it is necessary to support infrastructure investment, vocational training, access to preferential capital, build brands and expand consumption markets.

In the coming time, the commune will focus on consolidating cooperative activities, promoting linkages according to the value chain from production to consumption, promoting the application of science and technology and expanding safe farming areas. At the same time, strengthen trade promotion, and find stable outlets for agricultural products.

With this orientation, Pa Co is gradually promoting its advantages, developing clean agriculture associated with community tourism, towards improving income and sustainable socio-economic development.
