On August 1st, according to PV's investigation, Son La Provincial People's Committee has just approved the project to renovate, upgrade, and expand the facilities of the Provincial Political School with a total investment of 4.5 billion VND from the state budget, to be implemented in 2026.
According to the approved decision, the project is invested by Son La Provincial Political School, belonging to civil works class III, group C.
The goal is to overcome the degradation of existing items, gradually completing facilities to serve the training and fostering of local officials.
The project will synchronously renovate three items including a 4-story lecture hall building, a 2-story library building and a 2-story auditorium building in Chieng Sinh ward.
The repair items focus on peeling, patching and repainting walls, columns, beams, ceilings; replacing door systems, flooring, plastic ceilings, cleaning equipment and waterproofing treatment.
For the library and hall area, the project will dismantle the heat-resistant brick layer on the roof to install a new corrugated iron roof system combined with a shaped steel frame, and at the same time renovate the drainage system to improve leakage resistance and extend the life of the project.
The lobby roof has also been expanded, replaced by an aluminum-covered steel frame structure.
According to the decision, the total investment of the project is 4.5 billion VND, of which construction costs account for nearly 3.9 billion VND, the rest is for project management, construction investment consulting, other costs and contingency.
The capital source is allocated from the state budget according to the 2026 public investment plan of Son La province.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned Son La Provincial Political School to be responsible for organizing the project implementation, ensuring quality, progress and effective use of capital.
The Department of Construction and relevant agencies are responsible for guiding, inspecting and coordinating to resolve difficulties arising during the implementation process.
