On July 29, information from the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Thai Nguyen province said that the province has completed support for starting construction and repairing houses for nearly 7,000 households under the policy.
All houses were started on schedule, completed before July 27 according to the plan committed by the province to the Government and relevant agencies.
As of July 27, the entire Thai Nguyen province (after the merger) has started construction of a total of 6,953 houses.
Of which, the Thai Nguyen area (old) supported the construction and repair of 1,974 houses with a total cost of more than 199 billion VND. 136 of these households are meritorious people and relatives of martyrs.

In the old Bac Kan area, 4,979 households were supported with a total cost of more than 274 billion VND, mainly for poor and near-poor households.
Of these, 235 are meritorious households and martyrs' relatives, the rest are households living in temporary, degraded, and seriously dilapidated housing conditions.
Thai Nguyen is currently continuing to implement the project to build 1,000 houses with support from the Ministry of Public Security.
Of these, 560 households have registered to meet the conditions, and the communes in the Northern region are continuing to review and mobilize to promptly implement within the set deadline.
The goal is to complete before August 30, ensuring the right progress, the right target and no errors in support.
Mr. Dinh Hong Kien - Deputy Director of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Thai Nguyen province said that the province coordinated with the police to review the subjects to support the right people, minimizing errors in the implementation process.
The leader of the Department also emphasized the need to promote the role of the community in implementation so that the movement to eliminate temporary houses is effective, sustainable and long-term.
