On the morning of March 27, the Mass of Burial of Cardinal Gioan Baotixita Pham Minh Man was held in a solemn and respectful atmosphere at the Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City Archdiocese Pastoral Center. Bishops, priests, monks and a large number of parishioners and representatives of many agencies and organizations attended the Mass.
Previously, according to the obituary from the Archdiocese of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City, Cardinal Pham Minh Man passed away at 5:22 pm on March 22 at the Archdiocese Pastoral Center, at the age of 92.

Cardinal Gioan Baotixita Pham Minh Man was born on March 5, 1934 in Ca Mau. He studied Educational Management at Loyola Marymount Catholic University in Los Angeles, USA and graduated with a Master's degree in Educational Management from 1968-1971. After returning home, he assumed the role of Director of the A Thanh Qui Seminary in 1974.

In his career, he was appointed by Pope John Paul II as Deputy Bishop of the Diocese of My Tho on March 22, 1993. In March 1998, he officially assumed the position of Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City. In 2003, he was awarded the title of "Hong y dang linh phuc" in Rome and was a member of the Ministry of Culte and Discipline of Secrets and the Ministry of Congratulatory News, having attended 2 parliamentary meetings to elect the Pope. After retiring in 2014, he lived simply in Ho Chi Minh City, continuing to silently accompany and leave a deep impression in the hearts of parishioners.
