Bao Loc City has completed the removal of 33 temporary and dilapidated houses

Lam Dong - Bao Loc City has eliminated 33 temporary and dilapidated houses thanks to the determination of the government, people, businesses and philanthropists.

On May 27, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Loc city Huynh Minh Chanh said that the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses has been completed.

In early 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Loc city requested wards and communes to review and register support for eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses of people.

Accordingly, the whole city of Bao Loc has 33 households registered to support the demolition of temporary houses, including 4 newly built houses and 29 repaired houses.

Loc Chau commune has 22 repaired households; B'Lao ward has 5 households (2 newly built, 3 repaired); Loc Phat ward has 2 newly built households; Dai Lao, Loc Nga localities and Loc Tien ward each registered 1 repaired house.

The total budget for implementing the Temporary Housing Elimination Program in Bao Loc City is 1.5 billion VND.

In addition to the budget and the Fund for the Poor, the Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Loc City has called on organizations, businesses and philanthropists to contribute funds to complete the program.

All 33 households registered for support have completed the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses. The Fatherland Front Committee of Bao Loc City has spent more than 1.1 billion VND from support funds, the rest contributed by the government, businesses and philanthropists.

Since 2024, associations and unions in Bao Loc city have connected sponsors to build new and repair 12 houses for poor households, with a total cost of more than 1 billion VND.

The Temporary Housing Elimination Program has demonstrated the commitment to "leaving no one behind" and bringing a better life to disadvantaged households.
