Vinh Long currently has 12 religious organizations with more than 1.13 million followers, accounting for 33.4% of the population. The report of the Provincial Fatherland Front noted that believers always comply with the policies and guidelines of the Party and State, and actively participate in patriotic emulation movements.
During the past term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels has innovated mobilization work, regularly organized meetings, visited and encouraged dignitaries and outstanding people.
The religious community has joined hands to carry out many social and charity activities with a total value of over 50 billion VND, including building gratitude houses, medical examination and treatment and providing relief to the disadvantaged.
In particular, in the movement "All people participate in environmental protection", the coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front and religious organizations has achieved outstanding results: 100% of religious establishments (356/356) registered to implement environmental protection and climate change response criteria.
This activity both demonstrates solidarity between religion and nation and contributes to building a green, clean and beautiful living environment.
