Mr. Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Fatherland Front (VFF) of Vinh Long province - said that the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the province, term 2025 - 2030, took place on November 18 - 19 with 507 delegates attending.
During the 2024 - 2029 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels organized 2,363 dialogues and meetings with voters; conducted sociological investigations on 19 people's projects, promptly reflecting the thoughts and aspirations of the people.
Social security and charity activities through religious people have reached a total value of over 50 billion VND, basically eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses; 100% of residential areas organize the Great Unity Festival, contributing to strengthening community solidarity.
Regarding supervision and social criticism, 121 supervisions and 201 criticisms have been conducted with 230 contents; 317 draft documents have been contributed; 26,998 cadres and party members have been supervised, along with 947 cases related to people's projects.
The patriotic emulation movement and the "For the Poor" campaigns supported 14,738 houses, 275,594 Tet gifts worth over VND 105.3 billion; 2,500 models of population self-management were effectively implemented, contributing to building new rural areas and maintaining security and order.
Mr. Le Van Han said that in the 2025 - 2030 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Vinh Long province set a target of 100% of residential areas organizing the Great Unity Festival and the "For the Poor" Fund collecting at least 30 billion VND/year, while sustainably reducing poverty by 1 - 1.5% each year.
Communes and wards will deploy a model of self-management, enhance social dialogue, contribute ideas to build a Party, a grassroots government, improve the effectiveness of management and implementation of people's policies.
100% of cadres and party members thoroughly grasp and propagate policies and laws; each commune and ward builds at least one self-managed residential area; by the end of the term, 100% of communes and wards have their own self-management model.
The Provincial Fatherland Front will coordinate with socio-political organizations to mobilize people to participate in emulation movements, environmental protection, building a civilized community, improving the material and spiritual life of the people.
The Residential Area Front Working Committees will strengthen supervision, social criticism, and deploy a social dialogue model; 100% of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and member organizations will report to the people and propose timely solutions.
The Provincial Fatherland Front continues to organize social dialogue models, give comments on Party building, grassroots government and consult on the election of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee for the 2025 - 2030 term, creating a solid foundation for building Vinh Long to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new period.
