Tra On gives gifts, warms home for Chol Chnam Thmay Tet

Vinh Long - Tra On presented gifts, handed over charity houses, expressing deep affection on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay 2025.

On 7.4, the People's Committee of Tra On District collaborated with the Nun Thich Nu Duc Quang - Standing Deputy Head of the Vietnam Buddhist Church of Tra On District, organized a program to give gifts to poor households and disadvantaged households in the district on the occasion of Chol Chnam Thmay 2025 traditional New Year of the Khmer ethnic people.

On this occasion, 300 Khmer ethnic households received gifts. Each gift is worth 400,000 VND including rice, noodles and cash. The total cost of the gift is 120 million VND, supported by the Venerable Thich Nu Si Duc Quang through the contributions of Buddhists inside and outside the district.

Also during the traditional Tet Chol Chnam Thmay 2025 of the Khmer ethnic people, the People's Committee of Tra On district and the nun Thich Nu Duc Quang, the District Women's Union and the District Youth Union and the local authorities of Tra Con commune to hand over the mourning house to the quartz household, born in 1979, living in Hamlet Lin, who is in housing difficulties.

The house has a construction value of more than 80 million VND. Of which, Venerable Thich Nu Duc Quang supported 60 million VND to help Mr. Thach Anh's family have a new, spacious and solid house to settle down, escape poverty, and stabilize their lives. The remaining amount was contributed by family and relatives to complete the house more spaciously.

On the eve of the New Year, Venerable Thich Nu Duc Quang and the People's Committee of Tra On district also presented gifts and cash worth more than 02 million VND to celebrate the new house for Mr. Thach Anh's family, wishing his family a joyful, peaceful and happy Chol Chnam Thmay traditional New Year 2025.
