On the evening of December 20, at the Gia Dinh Regiment, the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City coordinated with the City Command to organize a ceremony to present portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to many wards in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event took place in a solemn atmosphere to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army, the 36th anniversary of the National Defense Day and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Armed Forces of Military Region 7.
Attending the ceremony were Major General Pham Nhu Quan - Deputy Political Commissar of Ho Chi Minh City Command; Colonel Thai Thanh Duc - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7; representatives of Ho Chi Minh City leaders; along with representatives of Gia Dinh Regiment, departments, officers, soldiers of the armed forces and leaders of wards in the area.
Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Thai Thanh Duc - Deputy Chief of Political Affairs of Military Region 7 emphasized that the possession of portraits of President Ho Chi Minh to communes and wards is a policy of special interest to the Central Military Commission - Ministry of National Defense. This activity not only has symbolic meaning but also aims to widely spread the ideological, ethical and stylistic values of Ho Chi Minh. This is considered a "mental fulcrum" at the grassroots level, contributing to educating revolutionary traditions, fostering the ideal of life and serving the Fatherland for today's and future generations.
Receiving the statue of Uncle Ho this time, Mr. Nguyen Hai Lam - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Trung My Tay Ward (HCMC) expressed his respect for the attention of the Central Military Commission, the Military Region 7 Command and the City leaders.
