On April 26, Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist families solemnly held a memorial ceremony for the founding venerable monks, the merited predecessors, saints, martyrs, brothers, and generations of Buddhist families past and present at Thien Chanh Pagoda (Tan Phu ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

Attending the ceremony were Venerable Thich Chon Khong, Deputy Head of the Central Buddhist Guidance Board, former Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Guidance Board; Venerable Thich Phuoc Nguyen, Deputy Secretary General of the Executive Council cum Chief of Office II of the Central Government; Venerable Thich Quang Tien, Deputy Chief of Office II of the Central Government, Deputy Head cum Chief Secretary of the Central Buddhist Guidance Board; Venerable Thich Thien Thuan, Standing Member, in charge of the Ho Chi Minh City Dharma Transmission - Buddhist Guidance Board; along with venerable monks of the Buddhist Guidance Board, venerable advisors of the Dharma, relatives and Buddhist families.

At the ceremony, Venerable Thich Chon Khong recalled the long history and great contributions of the Buddhist family to the Dharma and the Nation, especially in the Dharma disaster of 1963, there were many sacrifices and losses. Continuing the previous generation, the Venerable wished the Buddhist family in the new term to have strong development steps.

Dao Tu proves, Venerable Thich Thien Thuan expressed his emotion when attending the ritual ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Family organized. The Venerable said that looking at the portraits, recalling the context of the Buddhist revival with the birth of the Dong Au Youth Union, Buddhist Youth Association, Pho Buddhist Family and the official name Vietnamese Buddhist Family in 1951, that is the enthusiasm of many generations of predecessors with the aim of educating young people in the spirit of Buddhism. Through many historical changes to this day, the Buddhist Family still exists in the hearts of Buddhism and the Nation.
Previously, on the evenings of April 23 and 25, venerable monks in the Kinh Su Committee, monks of Thien Chanh Pagoda, and the Family Buddhist Sub-committee of Ho Chi Minh City performed a ceremony to offer incense to commemorate, offer prayers for repentance, and chant the Di Da sutras.
