On the evening of January 20, in Phu Loi commune, Giang Thanh district, Kien Giang province, the Steering Committee for the Military-Civilian Tet activities for the period 2021-2025 held a summary of the program's activities in 2025.
With the theme: "Kien Giang Armed Forces together with the Party Committee, government and people of Giang Thanh district join hands to build new rural areas", activities in Phu Loi commune have been completed and exceeded the set targets.
Built 64 houses for the beneficiaries (2 more than expected), 2 rural traffic bridges, built 2 flower roads, 4 welcome gates, supported 1 economic development model, examined and provided free medicine to more than 1,500 people, gave over 1,150 gifts to policy families, poor households, excellent students... With a total implementation cost of more than 9 billion VND.
Thereby, it has had a comprehensive and effective impact on all aspects of social life of people in the border commune, contributing to changing the face of the countryside in a positive direction. Solving difficulties for poor households, near-poor households, farmers have conditions to develop and expand production models to increase income, strive to build a prosperous and happy life.

Funds for activities are mainly mobilized from social resources, combined with a part of the local budget, contributions from departments, branches, organizations and the efforts of officers and soldiers of the armed forces in the province. Tet Quan Dan has truly brought spring to the poor early, and has contributed significantly to helping Phu Loi commune complete 19/19 criteria for new rural communes and was honored to receive the title of commune meeting new rural standards at the closing night of Tet Quan Dan 2025 activities.

At the closing ceremony, the Military Region 9 Command presented a great solidarity house to the Steering Committee for the Military-Civilian Tet activities for the period 2021-2025; presented 10 gifts to families with meritorious services, poor households, and those in difficult circumstances in Phu Loi commune. The National Assembly Delegation of Kien Giang province presented 30 gifts to the Militia and Self-Defense Force of Giang Thanh district in difficult circumstances. The Military Command of Kien Giang province, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, the Farmers' Association, the Women's Union, the Association for Supporting Poor Patients of Kien Giang province, and the National Defense Economic Group 915 - Military Region 9 presented 250 gifts and scholarships to families and poor but studious students in Phu Loi commune, Giang Thanh district.
