On March 27, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City coordinated with the City Border Guard Command, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of A Luoi District and Border Guard Stations to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of 4 houses for poor households in especially difficult circumstances in A Luoi District.
This is an activity in response to the movement "Removing temporary and dilapidated houses" launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, aiming to improve housing conditions for poor households in border areas.
Through the program "Spring Border Guard - Warming the hearts of the villagers" in 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City and the City Border Guard Command have surveyed and selected to support the construction of houses for 4 poor households, including: Ms. Ho Thi Mi (A Ka village, A Roang commune), Mr. Ho Van Tram (A Deeng Po Lieng 1 village, Trung Son commune), Mr. Ho Van Hinh (Can Te village, Hong Thuong commune) and Mr. Tran Van Khoa (Lien Hiep village, Lam Dac commune).
Each house is supported with a construction cost of 60 million VND from the "For the Poor" Fund of the Hue City Fatherland Front Committee. In addition, officers and soldiers of Border Guard Stations will participate in supporting working days to ensure construction progress and construction quality.
According to statistics, Hue City still has 386 poor households in need of housing, of which 80 households need to be completely rebuilt and 306 households need to be repaired and renovated. The implementation of housing construction support this time is a step to concretize the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, especially in remote communes, border areas.
This activity not only contributes to stabilizing people's lives but also affirms the close relationship between the army and the people in the border area of the Fatherland, helping people feel secure in sticking to the land, sticking to the villages, actively working in production and maintaining security and order, and consolidating the national border defense posture.
