Previously, at about 9 pm on April 30, 2026, during patrols, inspections, and ensuring traffic order and safety in the Lao Cai Provincial Conference Center area, Captain Nguyen Xuan Thang (born in 1991), officer of Road Traffic Police Team No. 3 - Traffic Police Department of Lao Cai Provincial Police discovered a mobile phone dropped by a resident.

Immediately after picking up the property, with a sense of responsibility and awareness of serving the People, Captain Thang proactively handed over the phone to Yen Bai Ward Police to coordinate in verifying and finding the owner.
Using professional measures, Yen Bai Ward Police quickly identified the owner of the phone as Ha Nhat Vy (born in 2013), a student of Yen Thinh Secondary School, residing in Van Phu ward, Lao Cai province. After completing verification, the police force handed over the property directly to the family.
Receiving back the lost phone, Vy's family expressed their joy and emotion and sent thanks to the police force, especially the officers who directly picked up the property.
According to Yen Bai Ward Police, Captain Nguyen Xuan Thang's actions, although small, are of practical significance, clearly showing the spirit of dedication, responsibility and closeness to the People of the People's Police force.
