On May 20, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City organized a conference to propagate the action program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, the Resolution of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congresses at all levels to dignitaries, officials, and typical individuals of religions in the area.
According to Mr. Le Tri Thanh - Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Da Nang currently has 17 organizations belonging to 7 religions operating, with about 430,000 followers, accounting for nearly 14.3% of the city's population.
Over the past time, the religious situation in the area has been basically stable. Religious people well comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State; implement the motto of living "good life, beautiful religion"; actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, humanitarian and charitable activities, contributing to socio-economic development, maintaining security and order and consolidating the great national unity bloc.
The Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee requested dignitaries and officials to continue to promote their prestige and core role in propagating and mobilizing believers to comply with the law, accompanying the government and the Front at all levels in implementing Da Nang's development goals.
At the conference, delegates were informed of the key contents in the Party and city's action program, which emphasized breakthroughs in synchronous infrastructure development, administrative reform, digital transformation, science and technology, innovation and improving the quality of human resources.
Da Nang also prioritizes key projects such as Lien Chieu port, upgrading Da Nang and Chu Lai airports, urban railways, underground transport through Da Nang airport; building a Free Trade Zone and Vietnam International Finance Center in Da Nang.
In addition, the city orients the development of high-tech fields such as microchips, semiconductors, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, big data, 5G network; and at the same time pays attention to developing forest economy, medicinal herbs, ecotourism, community tourism in the western mountainous region, associated with preserving the cultural identity of Quang land and improving the lives of ethnic minorities.
Through the conference, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City expects that the team of dignitaries, officials and typical individuals of religions will continue to be an important bridge, bringing the Party's guidelines and the State's policies and laws to believers and people; thereby creating social consensus, contributing to the successful implementation of the city's development goals in the new period.
