In mid-April, in the highland communes of Lao Cai province, the image of grassroots police soldiers regardless of danger, promptly rescuing people in distress continues to leave many good impressions in the hearts of the people.
At about 9:30 pm on April 11, in the stream area of Nam Pung village, Muong Hum commune, Mr. Ly Tre Gia (born 2001, residing in Kin Chu Phin 2 village) unfortunately had an accident while catching frogs at night to earn extra income.
In dark conditions, slippery rocky stream terrain, limited visibility, the victim slipped and fell into a deep crevice, seriously injured and unable to move on his own.

Immediately after the accident, Mr. Gia tried to contact the local security force for help. At about 9:55 pm on the same day, Muong Hum Commune Police received information and determined that this was an emergency situation that needed to be deployed for rescue immediately that night.
The Commune Police force quickly mobilized 1 commander, 3 officers on duty, coordinated with village security, medical forces and the Commune Military Command to approach the scene.
In dangerous terrain conditions, the only road along the stream bed with many large, slippery rocks, posing a potential safety risk, the forces are still urgently deploying rescue plans.
After approaching the victim, the working group performed first aid on the spot, and at the same time took turns carrying Mr. Gia through difficult roads to get out of the dangerous area.
The victim was then transferred to a medical facility for timely emergency treatment. According to initial diagnosis, Mr. Gia suffered a broken heel and back injury, and is currently being treated at Bat Xat Regional Medical Center.
Also on April 11, at about 2 pm, in the Ben Dinh bridge area of hamlet 5, Viet Hong commune, another incident continued to show the spirit of responsibility and quickness of the grassroots police force.
During the duty, Captain Hoang Tinh De - an officer of Viet Hong Commune Police discovered Mr. Luu Quang Trung (born 1944, residing in hamlet 6B) fell, lying unconscious on the roadside, showing signs of severe injury.

Without hesitation, comrade De quickly coordinated with people around to take the victim to the emergency room. Thanks to being discovered and supported in time, Mr. Trung has passed the danger, his health is gradually stabilizing and is continuing to be monitored and treated.
Two events occurred on the same day, in two different areas, but both clearly show the core role of the Commune Police force in ensuring security and order associated with rescue and relief at the grassroots level.
In the context of mountainous areas still facing many difficulties, complex terrain, and thin forces, cadres and soldiers are still always ready to be present when people need them, regardless of danger, time or circumstances.
Those timely and responsible actions not only contribute to protecting the lives and health of the people but also widely spread the beautiful image of the devoted, close to the people, and truly "serving the people" People's Police soldiers.
