During the treatment days, many patients and their families have to struggle with many difficulties in terms of expenses and living expenses. A serving of hot porridge, a small box of milk... seems simple, but it is practical and timely support to help them have more energy and be more assured during the treatment process.
Starting from that reality, the Social Work Department proactively connected with philanthropists to hand over 1,000 portions of porridge and milk to patients and their families, this is not only to support nutrition but also to send concern and sharing from the community.

️In the time frame from 10:30 am to 11:30 am, the porridge distribution area became bustling but still ensured order and safety. The social work network at departments and rooms has coordinated information and guidance to help patients and their families access meals on time and at the right location.
Many patients share that in the days of treatment, there are still many worries, porridge and milk meals not only warm the heart but also bring a feeling of being cared for and accompanied.

Not only stopping at phased programs, free porridge distribution activities have become regular weekly activities at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases. Through the connection of the Social Work Department and the companionship of philanthropists, simple meals are still regularly given, contributing to sharing difficulties and adding motivation for patients every day.
In the coming time, the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases will continue to maintain and expand practical support activities, so that patients not only receive medical care but also clearly feel the sharing and companionship from the community.
