Towards the sacred event of Buddha Shakyamuni's birth, Linh Buu Pagoda (Binh Dong ward, Ho Chi Minh City) together with benefactors and Buddhists at the pagoda organized the presentation of 200 charity gifts to people in difficult circumstances, lonely elderly people... on the occasion of Vesak PL. 2570 – DL. 2026.
It is known that more than 200 gifts were presented by Venerable Thich Thien Quy - Abbot of Linh Buu Pagoda; Venerable Thich Thien Loc - Vice Abbot; Mr. Duong Tan Loc - Vice Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Binh Dong Ward; and the family of Buddhists, People's Artist Que Tran to the people.
Each gift includes rice, noodles, a portion of rice and cash, worth 450,000 VND/portion, sponsored by Venerable Thich Thien Quy, Linh Buu Pagoda and the family of People's Artist Que Tran.
In addition, the Venerable also presented a house of gratitude to a household in particularly difficult circumstances in the locality, worth 60 million VND. The total cost of the Vesak gift program PL. 2570 is 150 million VND.
Buddha's Birthday is not only an occasion to commemorate the Buddha's birth, but also an opportunity for each Buddhist child to develop a good heart, spread the spirit of service and sharing with the community, just as the blessing of saving suffering and blessing joy of the Buddha in life.
