On January 31, the Da Nang Museum coordinated with the family of painter Le Ba Dang, through Mr. Le Hong Phuong - the painter's nephew, to organize the exhibition "Horses and flowers in Le Ba Dang's creations". The exhibition will take place from January 31 to February 28.

The exhibition aims to honor the creative career and great contributions of famous painter Le Ba Dang to Vietnamese fine arts; and at the same time create a unique art appreciation space to serve art lovers and attract tourists during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
The exhibition introduces more than 80 typical works, diverse in materials and forms of expression, focusing on two themes Horse and Flower, selected from the artist's unpublished collection, currently kept in his hometown of Quang Tri province. This is an opportunity for the public to access a unique cut in Le Ba Dang's artistic world, thereby deeply feeling the aesthetic value, ideology and creative spirit of a great artist.

Speaking at the exhibition, Mr. Huynh Dinh Quoc Thien - Director of the Da Nang Museum said that today's exhibition focuses on two images throughout Le Ba Dang's creative career, the Horse and the Flower. These are not just shaping motifs, but symbols with ideological and emotional depth.
Horses evoke strength, a desire for freedom, a journey to escape and find perfection; Flowers symbolize beauty, life, hope and rebirth. The parallelism of these two images has created an art world that is both intense, liberal, and sophisticated, contemplative - a distinctive mark that cannot be mixed in Le Ba Dang's style," Mr. Thien said.
Le Ba Dang is a famous Vietnamese painter and sculptor living and creating in France, one of the typical faces of modern Vietnamese fine arts, with a position and prestige in international art life.
In his persistent and impressive writing career, he has been recognized by the world with many prestigious awards and titles. Although living and working for many years abroad, Le Ba Dang always dedicates deep feelings to his homeland and country.
In 2005, he was honored to be awarded the Medal "Resistance against the US for national salvation" and the title "Honoring Vietnam" by the Vietnamese State, recognizing his great contributions to the national art scene.
