Dong Thap Provincial People's Committee has just issued Plan No. 224/KH-UBND on the development of e-commerce in Dong Thap province for the period 2026 - 2030.
This plan sets out the goal of developing e-commerce in Dong Thap province in a sustainable direction, becoming one of the important driving forces to promote the digital economy, contributing to economic growth, creating jobs, improving the quality of life of people and deeply integrating the international economy.
Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology to complete the infrastructure for sustainable e-commerce development. Specifically, focusing on investing and modernizing in digital infrastructure; ensuring digital infrastructure meets capacity and bandwidth, is popular, sustainable, green, smart, open and safe, promoting the development of e-commerce, digital transformation, digital economy development, digital society.
In particular, the People's Committee of Dong Thap province encourages large technology enterprises to transfer new technologies with advantages for e-commerce; creates conditions for enterprises in the province to proactively research and master new technologies in operating websites, e-commerce application platforms, logistics activities for e-commerce, and applying digital technologies to improve the production and business model of enterprises.
Encourage businesses to register and use the national domain name .vn to set up sales websites and email transactions (email) to increase the reliability and safety of users when participating in e-commerce activities.
