Hai Duong - On January 10, the Provincial Museum held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Spring comes through the collection of four-panel folk paintings" and the Spring Colors experience activity.

The exhibition "Spring comes through the collection of folk paintings of four panels" introduces 20 sets of paintings, including the themes: Four Gentlemen, To Nu, Four People, Eight Immortals, story paintings and historical paintings... selected from the collection of Four Panels paintings currently kept at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum.

The exhibition is one of the practical activities to promote the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage, create a space for art enjoyment and experience, and at the same time bring Vietnamese folk paintings closer to the people and tourists of Hai Duong.

This is also an activity to create a joyful and exciting atmosphere to celebrate the Party - celebrate the Spring of At Ty 2025, contributing to preserving traditional customs and traditions, and preserving national cultural identity.

Along with the exhibition are experiential activities associated with the Vietnamese Tet space, such as: Experiencing printing folk paintings, writing calligraphy, wrapping banh chung, making Tet jam, enjoying tea and experiencing unique traditional costumes, listening to ca tru singing... are outstanding activities and new features in the Spring experience activities of Hai Duong Provincial Museum this year.

Vietnamese folk paintings in general and four-panel paintings in particular are precious spiritual products of our ancestors. Since ancient times, our people have had the custom of playing with paintings, especially during the Tet holiday.

This is also an elegant hobby of the ancient Vietnamese. The four-panel painting is a set of four paintings, often with metaphorical implications that carry many meanings such as representing four stages in a year, life, or a story.

Through exhibitions and experiences, Hai Duong Provincial Museum hopes to help the public, especially the young generation, better understand the value and meaning of the nation's traditional New Year.

The exhibition will run until February 15, 2025.
