According to the plan, the Khoi Kem Festival of the Dao ethnic people of Duong Hoa commune, Quang Ninh province will be restored and organized on two days, April 18-19, 2026 at Truc Bai Son Culture and Sports Center, Quang Moi village, Duong Hoa commune.
Khoi Kem Festival is a traditional ritual imbued with the cultural identity of the Dao people who have lived for a long time in the area, associated with production life and community beliefs.
In the festival, there is a ritual of "opening the forest", opening a new production season, expressing people's wishes for favorable weather, bumper crops, and a warm and happy life.

The restoration of the festival aims to preserve, maintain and promote the traditional cultural values of the Dao ethnic people, while creating a space for community cultural activities, strengthening cohesion in the residential community and promoting local tourism development.
Within the framework of the 2026 festival, many cultural, sports and folk games will be organized such as: recreating Khoi Kem ritual; traditional hair contest of the Dao Thanh Y people; performance of Dao Thanh Phan ethnic costumes; men's and women's tug-of-war contest; con throwing contest; fresh cinnamon peel peeling contest; and cultural exchange activities.
Within the framework of the festival, the organizers will build a space to display the traditional culture of the Dao people, local culinary booths and OCOP products, contributing to promoting the cultural image and typical products of the locality to tourists.
Khoi Kem Festival is a cultural and tourism highlight, contributing to attracting tourists, promoting socio-economic development associated with preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in Duong Hoa commune.
