On April 25, the People's Committee of Thanh Nhat ward, Dak Lak province organized a rain praying ceremony for the E De people at the Buon Ky Community Cultural House.
This is an activity within the 2026 work program of the locality. The activity aims to recreate, preserve and promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities.

The rain praying ceremony is a folk ritual imbued with the cultural identity of the E De people, expressing the desire for favorable weather, good harvests, and a prosperous life. The ritual has been preserved and passed down by many generations and has become a precious intangible cultural heritage of the community.
According to Thanh Nhat Ward People's Committee, the organization of the festival is of practical significance in the work of preserving the traditional culture of Buon Ky in particular and the locality in general.
Through recreating rituals, performing gong culture and community exchange activities, festivals contribute to strengthening solidarity and tightening village and neighborhood relations.
This is also an opportunity to promote the image and introduce the unique cultural beauty of Buon Ky to tourists from near and far. Thereby contributing to promoting the sustainable development of cultural tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tam - Chairman of Thanh Nhat Ward People's Committee - said: "The highlight of this year's festival is the participation of a working delegation from the Institute of Music - Vietnam National Academy of Music. Experts have come to Buon Ky to study, record and film folk songs and traditional rituals of the E De people".
According to Mr. Tam, this event shows the unique value and sustainable vitality of the cultural heritage that the Buon Ky community is preserving. At the same time, it sets a responsibility to continue to preserve and promote traditional values for future generations.
The Ward People's Committee praised the spirit of responsibility of the Party Committee, self-management board, Buon Ky Fatherland Front Committee, village elders' council, artisans and people who actively and thoughtfully prepared for the ceremony.
