Taste Atlas - an international culinary website - once published a ranking of 45 dishes that were rated as "worst in Vietnam". This ranking is based on the votes of readers of websites around the world.
The top 45 most criticized dishes include rustic specialties such as congee, stewed soup, vermicelli with tofu and shrimp paste, vermicelli with fish sauce...
However, recently, in the list of 127 congee dishes in the world, Vietnam's congee heart is ranked 19th with 3.9 points.
The dish is also ranked 6th in the 33 best congee dishes in Asia.

Taste Atlas introduces congee cooked from pork broth, rice and many types of pig organs such as liver, kidneys, lettuce, intestines, hives, stomach, heart... The dish is always served when it is still warm, with sliced organs, eaten with fried dough sticks as well as green onions and paprika.
