On YouTube channel with 5.76 million followers, he recently posted a video exploring a series of banh mi restaurants in Ho Chi Minh City.
Hong Hoa bread
Located on Nguyen Van Trang Street, District 1, Hong Hoa Bread is the first address Andy visited. A full bowl of noodles here including patties, pigs, shrimp, sour foods, herbs... costs about 50,000 VND.
Andy reviews the chili soup as being quite spicy, sour, and raw vegetables help balance the somewhat "heavy" flavor of the patties and pigs. In particular, the noodle soup here is grilled and sold by the restaurant during the day, so diners can be completely assured of the quality.

Huynh Hoa bread
As one of the most famous Banh Mi selling locations in Saigon, Huynh Hoa Banh Mi is a place that New Zealand chefs cannot miss. He assessed that the banh mi here is larger and heavier than most other restaurants with pate, avocado, silk sausage, cold meat, fried pork floss... the vegetables are kept in their own bags. A collection of flowers costs 65,000 VND.
He gave many compliments to the quality and full filling. In particular, the butter is "hauled" to help the cake texture be soft and harmonious. He affirmed that although the price of the cakes is expensive, it is worth trying.

Nha Trang fish cake
Nha Trang fish cake bread is located at Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 1 is the third Andy ball shop to enjoy. He was surprised because the fish cake balls did not have familiar ingredients such as Pate, Spring, Cha ... instead of fish cake, sour salt, cucumbers, cilantro, chili and especially indispensable fish sauce with a unique smell of fish sauce.
According to the restaurant owner, the fish cakes here are carefully made from snakehead fish meat, fennel, onions and some other spices, then deep-fried until they are beautifully golden browned.
The New Zealand chef was surprised by the fresh topping, the fish does not have a fishy smell, but is quite fragrant and rich.

Hanoi banh ngoc Anh
Ngoc Anh bread is famous in Ho Chi Minh City for its flavor and standard way of cooking traditional banh mi. The cake crust here is not too big but crispy. The topps inside include grilled meat, pork, sausage, patties, herbs, shrimp... and sweet and sour sauce.
Not having a very unique flavor, the banh mi here is suitable for those who like to eat banh mi patete in Hanoi. One costs about 30,000 VND.

Mother An's bread
Me An bread is located on Le Thanh Ton street, District 1. The bread here is varied with unique shapes and flavors. The long, clinging Mi Banh Mi inside are patties, cucumbers, pickled foods, green onions, purple onions and part of the large beef ribs are covered with a rich sauce.

Andy commented that this is a special and modern varied version of the banh mi. The cake has a combination of familiar Vietnamese ingredients and steamed beef ribs - an ingredient commonly used in European dishes.
The bacon is soft and fatty but not mushy because there are vegetables and accompanying sauces. Andy praised banh mi for its full flavor of sweet, spicy, salty.
